A. Proclamation of the City Council of the City of Calexico Declaring the week of February 7, 2014 to February 14, 2014 as “National Marriage Week in Calexico.

CONSENT AGENDA

1. Approval of City Council/Calexico Community Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency/ Calexico Financing Authority Minutes for Special Meeting of January 14, 2014.

2. Approval of Warrant Register of claims paid for the month of September, October and November 2013.

3. Approval of a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Calexico deeming surplus one ambulance and authorizing the negotiation and sale of surplus fire engines and one ambulance.

4. Adoption of Resolutions Regarding Emergency Repairs at the Calexico Wastewater Treatment Plant and Water Treatment Plant:

a. A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Calexico (City) Pursuant to Public Contracts Code (PCC) Section 22050 Finding the continued existence of a emergency due to the need for a New Variable Frequency Drive at the Water Treatment Plant.

b. A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Calexico (City) Pursuant to Public Contracts Code (PCC) Section 22050 Finding the Continued Existence of an emergency due to the need for Draft Tube Repairs at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

c. A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Calexico (City) Pursuant to Public Contracts Code (PCC) Section 22050 Finding the Continued Existence of an emergency due to the need for a New Wastewater Treatment Plant Sludge Mixer.

5. Approval of the award of a three (3) year Uniform Service Contract to Alsco, the low bidder, and authorize the City Manager to execute a standard contract agreement.

BUSINESS ITEMS

6. Appointment of Delegate and/or Alternate to represent the City at the Southern California Association of Governments General Assembly – May 1-2, 2014 in Indian Wells, CA.

7. Appointments by Mayor/Council Members to the following Boards/Commissions:
a. Council Member Castro appointment to the Library Board of Trustees and Historical Commission.


8. Discussion and/or Action on consideration to introduce and conduct first reading by title only of an Ordinance amending Sections 5.32.040 and 5.32.160 of Chapter 5.32 of the Calexico Municipal Code regarding the holding of bingo games in the City.
